Hi,

Remember me? I'm the one who asked about perioral dermatitis awhile

back? Anyway, my little bumps haven't really gone away and I have

yet another question for you guys. Could my antibiotics (dynacin)

possibly be causing the bumps?? I did not have them before going on

the antibiotics and now can't get rid of them. They have yet to go

away in 4 months time!! I read the posts about PF and mine do itch,

but I thought rosacea itches also. Anyway, mine aren't typical

rosacea bumps- they are small and in little clusters all around my

nose and mouth- nowhere else. Is it possible that I have an

overgrowth of yeast and that this is what's causing them?? If one

had PF, would it be all over the face or just in certain areas?

Prior to going on the antibiotic, I had been using a topical steroid

for a long time, but the areas where I used it (my cheeks) are

clear. I just can't figure it out. I've tried to think about what

else I could've changed since these bumps appear other than the

antibiotic. The only things I come up w/ are installing a chlorine

filter and water softner in my house, and I also started using the

toleraine moisturizing cream b/c I thought it would be better on my

sensitive skin. Could the water softner be allowing the yeast

to " grow " on my face?? I'm grasping, I know, but I'm getting

desperate. Also, I can't think of what ingredient in the toleraine

would be causing the bumps- wouldn't my face be somewhat used to this

lotion by now?? I have tried a couple of different moisturizers, but

they always make other problems appear, so I haven't used them long

enough to see if the bumps would go away. Any advice would be

greatly appreciated as I'm about to go crazy. What do you think????

Thanks,
