Guest guest
I forgot to include that I'm banded shut. When I was at my OS's office yesterday right after getting discharged from the hospital, he removed my 3 bands and had me brush my teeth. I may attempt to do brush again tonight, but I am rinsing w/Peridex 2-3 times daily. For me, the most annoying part is the inability to breathe. Coming right out of surgery, it wasn't so bad, but yesterday I sneezed a few times, and that reclogged my sinuses again. My nose is terribly sore, and I've been dipping Q-tips in water and rubbing them around the inside of my nostrils to see if I can dislodge anything. That was somewhat successful this morning, but I'm still not breathing any easier. I've been eating pretty well, I think, and am campaigning to have my husband go get me a chocolate shake later on. I'm definitely not getting in the nutrition I had when I was in the hospital, but I think that what they served me there, it was a really good template for the type of diet I should always follow. I take solace in the fact that this is only temporary, and as uncomfortable as it may be right now, I'm SO happy to know that others are in the exact same boat as I am. Hang in there, everyone! We'll be coming up on a whole week before we know it!

Guest guest
Vaporizer? Steamy baths? Breathe-right strips? Try dipping the q-tips in hydrogen peroxide, and see if that helps, too. Pseudafed or Afrin (but don't overuse the spray, or you'll make worse troubles) if your doc permits, or nasal saline spray? Hope something helps! Cammie > > I forgot to include that I'm banded shut.
