Guest guest
Hi dpscosmo17 and others! Not really understanding why your doctor would REPLACE Sinemet with Requip? It is my understanding that they work together, since Sinemet is the dopamine " producer " and Requip is the Sinemet (dopamine) " enhancer " . If there is no Sinemet being given then it would seem to me that the Requip would have nothing to enhance....? This is only speaking from our personal experience, and by no means an expert opinion. (my husband, PD dx 1991) takes both Sinemet (currently 2, 25/100 tabs every two waking hours) and Requip (2mg, 3x daily). Maggie CP 64/53/51 Central Michigan p.s. I believe it is Mirapex (not Requip) that has been associated with sudden sleep episodes.
