Guest guest
your OS knows what is best for him to be able to perform the surgery. he is concerned for the short term outlook while your ortho has to look out for the longterm. they should be coordinating together to address each others concerns. for me i had no ortho before surgery cuz i had it 15 years ago and my bite was good enough. i was able to schedule only 1 month in advance. if my teeth don't shift too bad i won't need ortho after either. your OS should be able to call your ortho and tell him he's ready and for the ortho to get you prepared from his end. the purpose of ortho prior to surgery is to better be able to judge the amount of advancement or setback or even if surgery will be necessary. afterwards it is to make minor corrections and to help stabilze your teeth as they do loosen and can shift. let them talk and have a meeting of the minds and they will come to a concensus. hopefully in time for a nice christmas present. don't worry it sounds like your in good hands. > Hello all, I'm looking for some advise... > > I went in for a consult yesterday early morning with new oral > surgeon.
