18th day post op and still cant close my lips

Hi all. I just had double jaw surgery on 8/25 to fix my over and

underbite. I still have significant swelling around the

cheeks/nose/upper and lower lips. I still cannot talk very well or

close my lips. Eating is still a challenge as most of it falls out

onto my napkin. Drooling is still an annoyance. Has anyone else

experienced this? I am having serious tingling in my chin that is

driving me a little nutty. Am I ever going to be able to close my

lips? I do warm moist compresses for 20 minutes and do them

constantly. It does not seem to be denting the swelling though.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
