Guest guest
Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy?!?! I had upper and lower on Oct 5th. My surgeon was to widen and move forward my upper palate, and also move my lower jaw over about 5mm and back (my lower jaw was 'crooked'). After the surgery, I noticed that my upper palate's midline was off now, whereas before it wasn't. So, now when I smile, my upper teeth don't line up under my nose anymore -- but they are shifted to the right about 4mm. I went to see my OS yesterday, and he said he didn't know what happened -- showed me the models with the cuts he made and everything lined up. But it didn't line up on my face. My ortho said it's unfixable with braces, and my OS agreeded, and said I'd need it done again. But my bite is functional. I'm just unhappy with the aesthetic results -- especially when before my upper teeth lined up really nice! I hope my insurance will pay for a second surgery. So -- 1. Has anyone had their upper midlines off after a LeForte 3 piece? 2. Has anyone who did have #1, did insureance cover a second op?
