Guest guest
F: Unlike myself, I see a lot of people are tired after surgery. 4 days post op I was walking a mile in the morning and a mile in the evening... and this for someone who always had an anchor tied to her butt. WORD OF CAUTION: Tell your doctor!!!! If the tiredness set in 6 days post op.... there is a SMALL chance something may be wrong. When a coworker went to have staples out, she expressed to her doc a sudden tiredness. Seems she had carried groceries into the house and thought she pulled something in her abdomin and layed around for a few days to 'rest' it. She was immediately sent to the ER for tests and admitted to ICU. Turns out the laying around created a blood clot that broke off and lodged in her lung. If she had driven the 200 miles back home after the appt, she would not have made it. I dont mean to scare you, but you should report any changes to your surgeon. No matter how tired, be sure to walk, walk, walk when awake. Take all the naps you need, but be sure to walk so the blood in your legs keeps circulating and the above doesnt happen to you.
