Thanks to all who responded, both to the list and to me privately. I

have been off line most of the day, and am just reading your

responses before turning in. I looked at a few of the web sites, and

will definitely write via http://anyservicemember.navy.mil this

weekend.

Navy is fine. I was a lieutenant in the Naval Reserve back in the

'60's (before many of you were born!). Back then, in the days before

the shameful Tailhook affair and before cheating was exposed at the

Naval Academy, the Navy was a place of honor with a reputation for

taking care of its own (the other services do that, too). I still

have a warm spot in my heart for all service people, and especially

for Navy.
