Hi Carolyn,

I looked at the Graves_support's Files section (at the Yahoo site) and found

headaches listed on the symptoms list twice, as both a hyper symptom and a hypo

symptom. However, I would think that it's also important to make sure there's no

other cause (such as migraines).

Best wishes,

B.

I am having a headache every day-it stays a couple of hours then

goes away...otherwise I have energy again more days that not now and

am gaining weight and the sweling is going down in my thyroid -is

anyone or has anyone had headaches after they started treatments?

I have been having the headaches almost daily as well. I am on 30 mg

methimazole (sp?) 3 times a day..the headaches are around my eyes...could

this be an onset of TED, as well? I am new at this also, but will have my

first endo appointment a week from Monday..November 24th.

Fay,

Thanks for the update on my not being a male..I get that a lot, though with

my name...I always mention Roy and Dale , when someone says,

Dale, isn't that a man's name...but I know I am getting old, because a lot

of those I ask don't know who I am talking about...:>)

Dale

Hi Dale. If you're due to see the eye doctor soon, make an appt. with an

ophthalmologist (not optometrist). It's not necessary to find someone

with TED experience for baseline measurements. You'll likely just be

reassured that everything's ok absent other symptoms. Since developing GD

almost 4 years ago (and I've been in remission for 27 months) I've been

prone to sinus infections, which I never had before, and that's all that

the eye discomfort/pressure and pressure on my cheekbones means,

thankfully.

Take care, Fay
