any words of hope?

I've been reading a lot of the previous messages others have posted

and I have been learning a lot and has given me hope. I just went

through surgery 2weeks ago and I am getting anxious for the swelling

to go down. What realistic time-frame should I expect for the

swelling to go down? Any insight would be helpful.

Thanks!

Well I would say at 4 to 5 weeks mine went down almost completely

but at 2 1/2 months post op, I still have some swelling. Not

enought that you could tell, but I can tell. It is worse in the

early am and the late pm. I am a bit anxious for it to go away

completely but I have heard that it can take up to a year.
