Guest guest
Hey , Thanks very much for helping to shed some light on what is going on with me! Looks like I have a ways to go before I could hope to be " Graves free " . But that's okay......got to have goals and challenges in life, right? :-) I must try to be positive about all this, and tell myself that even though those are some big gaps in the numbers for me, it's doable! I'll go check out the link you gave later in the day. You are a dear to take the time to give me some answers. I pray your course is going well for you. Have a wonderful day today! Guest guest
Thanks for the encouragment . :-) I'm in for the long haul as they say. I'm glad to hear that you are feeling good, and am confident that in time we'll both reach that remission intersection where all these numbergs come together in a good place. I look forward to hearing what your new antibody tests show as soon as you can get them checked.....weren't you having a problem trying to get your endo to look at those or am I confusing you with someone else? :-)
Guest guest
Hi , Actually TSI of 90% is rather good. It is just not remission, so keep treating. My TSI was 198% when last checked (in early June), and my Graves' was mild (also have TPO antibodies >70%). I am feeling good, and on a low dose of ATD (50mg/day PTU, in 3 divided doses). I am going to try to get TSI and TPO-Ab re-checked soon. Guest guest
While we all probably have some degree of difficulty getting antibody tests when we want them, I haven't run into that wall yet. It is too soon, after all. Dr. Nuclear (who I ran from) wanted me to do RAI and didn't even run a TSI test (he gave me the RAIU scan before I knew better). Endo #2 (who I currently use) gave me the TSI test. But I will ask my GP, who is usually accommodating, to do the re-test. Hopefully he will cooperate. Hope to meet you in that remission intersection! >weren't you having a problem trying to get your endo to look at those or >am I confusing you with someone else? >:-) > >
