Guest guest
I had my pre-op MLD therapy and I highly recommend doing this. It was so relaxing and it's about the same price as an hour massage. I have an appointment for another MLD therapy 5 days after surgery. I'm not sure that appointment is going to be as relaxing, since I will be post-op and I sure very uncomfortable, but I'm up for trying anything to help speed up the recovery time. Just an FYI to anyone looking into this.

Guest guest
Hi , Thanks for posting that. I also did MLD therapy when I had my surgery 2 years ago. I had my first post-op session on day 2 after surgery, when I was released from hospital. It was uncomfortable for me more because I was very tired, sore, hadn't had my meds for about 4 hours, and I really didn't feel much like sitting up under my own steam (I had to sit on the massage table). It gets better. I was so numb (full face from behind eyeballs down to my chin) that I couldn't feel what the therapist was doing, really, except that my upper lip hurt. I later found out why - the surgeon had installed two twisted wire hooks during surgery and they were sort of cutting into my lip. The therapist went easy there when I told her it hurt a bit. Just let them know if you're not feeling ok. It's supposed to be a very light touch anyway. Best of luck! > > I had my pre-op MLD therapy and I highly recommend doing this.
