ohc,

Congratulations on losing 175 lbs. I have lost 181 lbs in 14 mos. The

feeling of nervousness is pretty standard at this stage when you realize you

can eat more volume than you used to when you were an early post op. Like

Lori said, it is all relative. I can eat more now than I could at 4 mos post

op but far less than I did before I had WLS. I consider the fear a healthy

reminder (as long as it doesn't get obsessive) to help keep me in check.

There are days I can eat more and days I can eat less. Also, the type of

food has a lot to do with the amount I can eat. I eat very little beef and

pork because it is so hard to digest and sits like a lead weight in my pouch.

On the other hand, I can eat 4 oz of ricotta cheese without a problem. 4-6

oz (or even 6 oz)of food at this stage is not abnormal at all so dont' be

freaked. I remember when I was 6 mos. post op and went to lunch with some

friends. I ordered a burger and was busy talking and all of sudden realized

that I had eaten the whole burger (without the bun of course) Boy talk about

freaking out. LOL I thought I had out eaten the surgery. Well, the next

day, I could barely get down 1/4 of my lunch so you see it fluctuates. Hang

in there. We have all been through it or are still there (like me)
