Guest guest
Hey all, Anyone ever hear of MD SKINCARE??? With all the talk of chemical peels, I thought I'd put something forth and get an opinion. It's the Alpha-Beta Skin Perfecting System by Dr. Dennis Gross. His office is in NYC, and he claims the ingredients are gentle enough for cea Skin...the brochure reads: Includes the most gentless, most effective ingredients availabe, Eliminates common irritants found in many commerical skin care products. " I called the office and they said it was highly recommended for 'reducing the appearance of rosacea'...it boosts skin's exfoliation, controls oil, and minimizes pore size...also stimulates collagen production, promoting a turnover of new skin cells, healthy skin cells, and I guess that's how the R skin is supposed to minimize...the active ingredient is Salicylic Acid. A friend of mine who had a very mild form of R, mainly blotchy red skin no real flushing, recommended it; it turned her skin around. I don't understand: why would a reputable doctor in Manhattan develop and prescribe a product like this for rosacea skin if we are given to understand that such can only aggravate and stimulate a rosacea like response in the skin??? I have it and have tried it a few times. 3 times about a week apart. I do notice a pinkness all over my face for about 45 minutes afterward, at these times I panic as I fear I might be 'dancing with the devil'. I don't know if I'll continue, but I must say that I do notice a smoothness in my skin the day afterward... The website is www.mdskincare.com if anyone is interested. I am not advocating this product in any way, just wanted to put it out there. Sincerely, Marie ---------------------------------
