Guest guest
Well, my day was a bit mixed. I did great at work; busy, no problems. I had some chicken broth at lunch because for a moment there I couldn't face the thought of one more sweet tasting thing! That helped a great deal. My car was in the shop and was ready too late for me to go to the gym, so I just walked at home. At dinner, my dh was grilling hamburgers. I had about half of a small patty. So my shakes-and-bars-only day became an Atkins day. But I do feel good and (I know this is probably psychological) sort of " lighter " somehow. Water has been good all day too. I did some reading and then spent an hour at the church's prayer vigil for peace. While I know I am not " fasting " (and really can't) it does feel good to have imposed a discipline. I used to do a complete water/juice fast from Maundy Thursday to Easter Sunday every year. It was a special time for me. I can't do that now; I'd just flat pass out! So this feels like an adequate substitute for this time in my life. That's it for me! Tune in tomorrow.... hugs, Ann
