I don't want anyone to think I am being a smart alec because I am asking

this question in complete sincerity.

For those who were nervous and those who are getting ready for surgery and

are nervous......what are you nervous about? I mean is it about what will

life be like after surgery or is it more what if something goes wrong?

I ask because I was not nervous at all. I wasn't concerned about anything

going wrong. Maybe I should have been. I don't even know why I wasn't. I

had complete faith in my doctor. But I am sure the majority of us do or we

wouldn't be letting them cut into our bodies.

I had researched alot and I was fairly certain I had a pretty good idea what

things were going to be like post op. OK so for me they were worse than I

expected but they have gotten better. All in all I would say as to what and

how much I can eat things have turned out maybe even a bit better than I was

expecting.

I remember one of the Nurse's asking me in preop if I was nervous and if I

needed " anything " . I said " Yeah I need to get healthy. Let's get this show

on the road " . She said " with that attitude you will do well " .

But I just never had a nervous moment about it. Well at least once I made

the decision. Of course I thought about it for years before I actually

talked to the doctor. Maybe I just got rid of the nervous stuff in advance.
