I was just wondering how long after everyone's surgery was it until

the stitches were removed? Did everyone have to have them removed

or were they the disolvable kind? I'm not sure what king mine are,

but it feels like they are pulling on my gums. I guess I should be

glad for the feeling, but it hurts. Could they be infected? They

look fine, it is stitches that are close to the front of my mouth.

What would it look like if there was an infection? I don't think it

is an infection, I have been very careful about keeping my mouth

clean. Is this pulling feeling something I should call my OS about,

or is it a normal feeling? Thanks for any answers!

Kim,

they should be the stitches that dissolve. i was tightly banded for

a week...so i couldn't really feel mine. does it look really swollen

where your stitches are...i got an infection where the stitches were

in the very back of my mouth...i also was a fanatic about cleaning my

mouth...but it still got infected. but if it's more of just a

tightness...that's normal. where my gums and upper lip meet...on the

top and bottom...is very tight. it's still numb in that area...so i

can't say if it's painful or not. i think it's from the incisions

healing...and the scar tissue along the incision line is really

tight. it will loosen up over time...i am told.

hope this helps.
