HI All,

Just reading and writing back to all of y'all that have made plans to

cross the country to get your surgery...and all I can think of is OH

MY GOD, and WOW!

First, what is with " my OR won't recommend anyone else except this

OS. "

What is that about? If any of us were to do something like get a cyst

removed...common enough but still serious...wouldn't you go for a

second opinion and wouldn't your dr offer you more than one surgen?

I understand there are " cases " that require THE best specialist sure,

but 3 or more in 2 weeks on the board...someone is not thinking of

the patient first.

Second, I can't imagine that this is a help for healing for anyone to

travel so far...to be away from the familar and loved ones...heck all

of us post-op know about the range of emotions that make people with

dual personalities seem sane ;) and to drive that distance because

dear god, I wouldn't think you could and if so wouldn't want to go up

with all that pressure on your sinuses and jaw...or a geez, bumpy

landing or turbulance!!! Ahhhh!

And for check ups--I am week 9 today and have had scary moments of

unexpected swelling after I returned to work...might have been an

infection, might not, but going in and getting on antibioitcs and

doing xrays and having an expert 20 mins away to say, come in now I

want to be safe and see you at once...how the heck could that happen?

So, sorry for spinning here, but it worries me.

I think EVERYONE should get a second or third opinion and if

something even like location doesnt' seem reallllllly right for YOU,

for YOUR SURGERY, in YOUR BODY and YOUR LIFE...than stop and think.

You have the right to choose what and who and where is best for you.

If I can help, I'm here......JO
