Guest guest
My name is Jeannette . I had the RNY procedure Dec 17, 2001 with Dr. Baggs when he was at Mills Peninsula Hospital in Burlingame, CA. I have lost about 130 pounds. I could use to loose another 50 I think, but it is so hard to tell. I have a consult with a plastic surgeon next week to see about removing some of this apron, I have a " apple " shape so all my weight was in my torso, lots of leftover skin. But it is still rather filled with fat so I do not know about the abdominoplasty yet. It causes me a lot of pain though so, well, i will talk to him next week right. I find now that I am over a year out from surgery that the struggle is only just beginning. I can eat more now and wrestle with those demons of old. I think I have been loosing the same five pounds for the past three months and am feeling really blue about it all. I know I will get it all under contrl, but right now I am feeling crappy about it all. On the plus side. I feel great, I have not have as much as a sniffle or a sneeze since the surgery. I feel strong and cute and good most of the time. I take a protein shake every day for a little extra umph. I try to take my vites every day, sometimes I forget. I have a bottle of Phentermine for the PMS insanity times (open mouth, insert loaf of bread days). I never thought I would use something like that, but it helps when I am really loosing it (not very often). That is enough about me I guess, I look forward to this group. Later all... Cheers, Jeannette
