Guest guest
Hi Group: Callie thats a strange reaccion to minocin, the most common adverse effects to this antibiotics are nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, pigmentted teeth like yellow brown(after some time) but very peculiar or particular is that minocin interfier with the balance mechanism in the inner ear with resultant dizziness and unsteadiness but the symptoms usually go away when the drug is stopped, also very particular of minocin and tetraciclines is that they make some bond with calcium complex that results in acute artritis, what you describe sounds like an hipersensitivity reaccion in other words alergic and i wouldnt think the steroid shot can harm you although i dont know wich one was they change alot from speed and strenght 1 shot no problem, what confuses me is that you were taking heavy doses of benadryl wich has diphenidramine thats the worst anthistaminic you can take because it has very powerfull anticholinergic properties and many times can cause urticaria or urticarial syndrom with a even more complicated clinical manifestation, all of you guys that take benadryl because of its sedative effects change to another anthistaminic like loratadine and you will see a big diference, Callie anyhow i wouldnt try to get back on minocin you can try claritromicine although more expensive has very sweet antinflamatory properties and also covers the bacteria that as a result of the inflamation causes break outs, topical try sulphur compounds they are the best but i dont know if your married think about it because a kiss af sulphur is not very romantic, noritrate 1% sometimes helps too. My 2 cents. Good luck to all Dr Ian Alarcon.
