Hi Dwayne!! Congrats! I haven't had surgery yet but, I am almost there. I

decided that I needed to have it done because I have been big all my life and

at 27 yrs old I have arthritis (I always thought of that as something old

people got). My doctor told me I was in good health (no apnea, diabetes or high

BP) but, that could quickly change with the amount of weight I'm carring and my

husband (who is only 25) has just been put on high BP medication and i decided

that one of us needs to be around to raise our children, 1 boy-5 and 1 girl-2

and he weighs almost 400 lbs and he's really not that worried about it. So I

decided it was up to me. Anyway, good luck and I am very happy for you.

Hi there J.Lo and welcome

I had my RNY on 2-16-01 and a tummy tuck on 8-30-02. I am currently

14 weeks pregnant. I have gained between 5-7 lbs. so far........My OB

said he has delivered several babies from women who have had previous

tummy tucks and they've done fine. He said one lady had a tummy tuck

and then got preg with TWINS.....he said after her delivery, her

tummy got flat again.....so.....we will see......Mine is very tight

already.....of course it was tight before I was pregnant. I just hope

it doesn't burst.....I am having a c-section for many reasons.....and

the tummy tuck is one reason.......

As for not having energy and wanting to eat and lay down after

work......ditto for me.....it's our bodies trying to adjust......plus

I am 39.....so.....this ol body is wondering " what the heck " I am

sure...hahaha........but my energy levels are getting better now that

I am in my 2nd trimester......and the nausea is gone away finally.

This is supposed to be the best trimester :) I am glad!

Good Luck!

Welcome!

No plastics yet, waiting till after mommyhood & bfeeding to do the

major overhaul.

Eating: a bit of everything.

I also had the 1st trimester fatigue, B12 shots helped. Stopped

exercising @ around week 18, I felt totally hot all the time. Still do.

Gained 12 lbs in 24 weeks.

Oh & about the post delivery weight loss, I'm speculating it'll be

tougher, yet manageable.

First I would like to say hello.. I've not posted here for a long

while now but I do read the post from time to time.

I've had a TT and a breast reduction. I got pregnant almost a year

after. I did just fine. I was also 4 years out from my WLS. I gained

around 40 lbs while pregnant and still have about 20 to loose. My

baby will be a year old in Oct. I did just fine after my TT getting

pregnant but I did have a lot of skin on my back. After having my

baby I do have a pudge but it's a tight pudge. If you would like to

email me directly feel free.

Hi J.Lo and everyone,

Yep, I'm one of those dreaded lurkers. Why do I lurk? Because I have so little

time on the computer to read mail that I always end up behind the 8 ball with

keeping up to date. A tiny tiny bit about me. I had the Lapband surgery on

October 1, 2002 at 280 lbs and managed to reach my goal of 155 in January 2004

(was shooting for 158). Anyway, I decided to have the full deal and went for a

tummy tuck on March 3, 2004. At which point my doctor said " Now , please

wait at least 3 months before trying to possibly get pregnant " . To which I said,

" Pfft, me? Pregnant? Never. Won't happen. No worries doctor! " . So 8 weeks after

having my TT I found myself pregnant...to my utter shock since my husband and I

have never used anything and I always thought that I was infertile. Little did I

know it was due to my weight (have always been overweight).

Soooo, here I am now 19 weeks and 1 day pregnant and 27 weeks out of my tummy

tuck. I've heard that it should be ok and I'm sure we aren't the first ones for

this to happen to. I just hope that after my baby is born that my tummy will go

back to where it was beforehand. I hope so since I only got to enjoy my new bod'

for two months lol. So far I've gained 10-11 lbs. I guess we'll see, eh?

Sorry it's taken me this long to come out of lurkdome.

Have a great Sunday everyone!
