Hi everyone! My name is Dawn. I lurk and read often. I wanted to put

some general questions out there and ask for any feedback. Please

Please Please feel free to email me any feedback. A little about me.

I am currently 17 months post-op from a Lap RYN. I have had great

results. I started at 310lbs, with a BMI of 48. Today I am down to

about 145-150 with a BMI of 24. Life surely has changed. My

questions may seem silly to many, but I would like to get a general

feel of what long term maintence should be. I am out of

the " honeymoon " stage and I want to be able to maintain long term

success. I understand that my surgery is a tool and that dieting

isn't really a part of my life anymore. Eating properly is the key,

for me that is. But I pose some questions that I hope many of you

will feel freely to respond to. OK here goes......

1) What is a normal maintenance amount of daily calories for someone

long term post op?

2) What is considered to be normal maintenance size portions for

someone long term post-op?

3) What is considered to be a normal maintenance frequency to

eating? How often do you eat?

4) What is a suitable ratio of protein, carbs and fat for someone

long term post-op?

5) How many grams of protein would be considered a sufficient level

for maintenance?

OK there's my questions. I am struggeling right now with some issues

and food. I feel as thought I am sabotaging myself, something I

perfected in life before surgery. I have such a great fear that I

will get big and unhealthy again. Thanks for listening and sharing

any feedback with me. I would greatly appreciate other opinons.
