Hello everyone,

I have been lurking on this site and the other 2 for over years now.

Quick intro, Male 27 year old. I went to see a OS about posibility of

having surgery to expand and move the maxilla forward. I had ortho

work up and consultation with Orthodontist. Yesterday I got braces

for my lower jaw. This is the plan I disscused with my OS and Ortho,

fisrt get the SARPE and then 12 down the road have maxilla moved

forward and genioplasty. I know this all could have been done in one

surgery but the problem is that my Ortho would not have me ready for

surgery until of " holidays of next year " and I am desperate to start

anything going so I decided to ask OS and ortho to go with SARPE

first and then I can wait in peace for the other surgery. My

questions for those who had SARPE are:

How log is a recovery time?

When were you able to go back to work?

Thannks in advance.

Emir
