Guest guest
Hello everyone, Thank you all for the excellent advice and support. It is so nice to be able to talk to people who have gone through the same thing as me. Today is day 24. I keep getting better and better every day. I am still swolen in my cheeks and am numb in my chin and my cheeks. But I can feel my lips now except for the upper right and get those darn tinglies all the time especially at night. I am opening my jaw more and more each day. I have rubberbands so it is hard to open. I have to brush and eat with them. Oh, by the way, I had an upper, lower, and a genioplasty. I went back to work this week part time (on day 20) I am glad I am only part time because I get tired very easily. And, one of my coworkers is having a baby so we had a baby food eating contest. I did not go because I am only on half days, but three people came up to me and said I would have won the contest hands down! (Yes, I did eat baby food, but only for a couple of days after surgery.) I don't think I look all that different except I don't have a big overbite anymore and I actually have a decent profile finally (Yeah!!) My nose looks different too. People say I look younger and my features are softer. I like that because I am 43 and if I can look younger, great! If anyone is new to this site, it is wonderful for support and for getting your questions answered. If I can help anyone, please let me know. shausuem
