It has bee a while since I last visited the site. For the newer

members I am 60+, have a severe overjet (14mm) and have started the

prelimineries to bring my top teeth back prior to surgery. I am on an

Invisalign program and so far so good. Top teeth have been pulled back

3mm and expanded to make some room. I am on #19 of 63 aligners so a

long way to go yet. Why not conventional braces? - pride.

Some time ago I read on this forum of a new (?) treatment that

substantially reduced the risk of long term numbness. Does anyone

remember this? I have been told that because of my age, the risks are

higher for long term numbness so any prospect of reducing this are

attractive.

If there are any other oldies out there who have made it through I

would appreciate learning of their experiences
