Guest guest
Jen, I feel for you. I had intermittent ear pain, but not too bad. I need to caution you, please make sure your ortho or surgeon knows of your inability to put on the elastics for your midline. you are in a position of great possible movement post surgery, so in general if we are being told to wear elastics, we should be doing it. call and speak with your doctors, they will help you get through this. i remember when i had to start putting my elastics on myself and i was so frustrated i would cry, i couldn't open my mouth wide enough, it was painful and often unsuccessful. Hope to hear from you again soon with good news. katie > Hi everyone!!! > > I just had my surgery on August 24th and am doing great.... litlle > to no bruising and can open my mouth pretty wide BUT my ear pain is > killing me!! Guest guest
Hey Jen! I also had surgery on the 24th and I was thinking about posting about my ears today, too. Mine hurt as well, but not bad enough to keep me awake at night. Though, I will wake up if I accidentally roll to one side or another because it hurts my ears to lay on them. I haven't asked about it yet to my OS, I just assumed it was normal. -Jen > Hi everyone!!! > > I just had my surgery on August 24th and am doing great.... litlle > to no bruising and can open my mouth pretty wide BUT my ear pain is > killing me!! Guest guest
Hey there Jen(s), This is on my list of questions for my OS on Friday also. It seems to be worse for me in the morning so I may be doing something detrimental at night. The nighttime question was asked recently on here, that's why I didn't post this. I'll let you all know what my OS says on Friday. I was a little glad to see the first post which offered some explanation, so thanks!
