I had surgery 5 days ago and already lost 10lbs and feel really weak.

I hate the sweet things my doctor told me to drink (ensure, boost

etc) every time I get it in my mouth it makes me retch. Now my

stomach is so empty anything turns it. I feel like a complete baby, I

keep crying when I try to eat something and have to wear a bib.

Any ideas for good liquid things to eat that are high in calories?

Anyone relate to how I am feeling.

I also hate that I can't talk, they say you can but my elastics are

too tight. This is adding to the baby effect. I have told my work I

will be off for 2 motnhs, then I read about people that go back after

2 weeks! Most of my work is over the phone so I cant imagine it. Not

that I can imagine any job where you can get by with one hmmmm for

yes and 2 hmmms for no! Can anyone let me know their experience and

how long they stayed off work for.
