I'm glad I asked the question about blood donation. It seems to have

sparked quite a bit of discussion. Neil, I agree about the fire

insurance theory, but I believe I'll risk it this time. I guess I

just feel lucky. :D

But insurance is differnt, if your house is on fire or you are an

accident there is no back up but charity I suppose. if you are in

the hospital and need blood your going to get blood which is why it

probably isn't all that necessary! also keep in mind most places

your DR has to order it so he or she does have the last word. At any

rate it doesn't sound as if it doing it could do to much damage or

too much help.
