Guest guest
> Has anyone who is using creatine for it's strength and power benefits > in the gym, had it cause flare ups of their rosacea? Emphatically, YES! I'm a runner (not good in the current hot humid conditions of the Piedmont, North Carolina region I live in, and not the type of hard aerobic activity recommended for rosaceans, but I refuse to give it up due to both the physical and therapeutic benefits I glean from it.) I bought powdered creatine from GNC about six months ago. I took it according to the directions printed on the canister. It not only made my face more puffy than usual( " You're face is swollen, " co-workers would comment helpfully when I would later trot into the office.)but I seemed to retain water throughout the rest of my body, despite my taking in adequate fluid and not straying from my normal, healthy dietary routine. I think it did provide relief regarding my muscle fatigue problem and my lack of performance improvement (I had reached a " plateau " in my exercise routine, and I wanted to break through this and become a better, faster, awe-inspiring running machine. Or at least the next best thing.) But I gave the creatine up. I think I allowed it a good three week trial run before exiling it to the bowels of my pantry, where it still languishes in that quiet darkness, rubbing elbows with other banished members of my shopping misadventures: Bottles of Zima and certain brands of protein bars that taste like pressed wood pulp. (Yes, I should toss them, but I have a hard time discarding things I shelled out money for.) My sister says that they have come out with a new and improved liquid form of creatine that has eliminated the bad, water retaining side effects. I have not tried this yet as I have become strangely resigned to my dorky and predictable running performance. Also, I am not an heiress, and my recent spate of moola has been spent on such essentials as rent, groceries, car insurance, and people who push me out of airplanes. My upcoming funds are slated for fotofacial, school tuition, school books, and breast implants. (Just kidding about the last item; I wanted to make sure you were still paying attention.) pectoral169(cute handle, by the way), If you happen to try a form of creatine which gives you good results without the bad side effects, please let me know! With Fond Regards, Jillian

Guest guest
Yes, I have noticed a change in strength and tone. Before when I would grab their calf muscles, they were very floppy and thin. Nowadays, they are bulkier and not as floppy. 's gait has also dramatically improved.
