Los Angeles Support Group Meeting

Today we had our third Los Angeles meeting. With the weather and other things

that came up , we had a small group. Fred and I along with Jerry and Carol

Jean Fielding. This meeting was a get to know you for this was the first

time we have met Jerry and Carol Jean ( she likes to be called Jean) Jean

was DX in 96 with MSA and Jerry is her caregiver. We talked about problems

with caregiver's that they had to let go and about how Jerry has found ways

for Jean to eat with her liquid diet. He has her eat pretty much most

everything. He cooks it , put's it in a blender and the into a squirt bottle

for her to eat. Since doing this she has put on some weight. Today they were

going home to a pork roast and yams. Fred said he wanted to go eat at their

house. Jean & I think Jerry should put out a cook book .

We also talked about chair's. Jean had one that they came with , that let's

her lay back and she can also look at the people who are there with her and

gave us the web site of where they found it>> Relax the back.com

Then I also showed them picture's from the other meeting that we had.

We look forward to meeting them again. Hope to see more of you at the next

meeting February 8, 2003 .
