Memphis Dysautonomia Support Group

Pam,

Just wanted to update you and if you could post this on the website I would

appreciate it. Our West TN Support Group has combined with the Memphis

Dysautonomia Support Group to have meetings. Our next meetings will be

second Tuesday of each month, November 12, 2002 and December 10th, 2002.

All meetings are from 6:30p.m. to 8:00 pm. Location: Germantown Library;

1925 Exeter Road; Germantown, TN ; phone . For more

by phone at .

Some of the info that our brochure contains:

MDSG (Memphis Dysautonomia Support Group) mission statement: established

to provide support and encouragement and education for those individuals

afflicted with the various forms of dysautonomia and to facilitate a

support network for those individuals and their families.

Types of Dysautonomias:

MSA or Shy Drager

Parkinson's Disease

Neurocardiogenic Syncope

Orthostatic Intolerance Syndromes

--Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS)

--Mitral Valve Prolapse Syndrome

Pure Autonomic Failure (Bradbury-Eggleston Syndrome)

Diabetic Autonomic Failure

If you would like me to send you a copy of our brochure, please email me

your address.

Two nurses, one doctor and myself(licensed physical therapist) have started

this group. I am excited about the possibilities we have to spread the

word in this area. If you have any ideas for us, please let me know.

Thanks for helping spread the word! We recently had an article posted in

the local newspaper and hope to get more like it out to the media, we have

had a good response from the one article. I will try to send you a copy.
