My sister has MSA and I believe her life span is very short. She is now in a nursing home (having been in the hospital for 6 months). She has a pain pump surgically implanted in her spine and has a feeding tube in her stomach. She cannot voluntarily move and can say only a word or two now and then. She was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease about 6 years ago. Last year the drs decided it is MSA when the eletrode implants did not help. My sister is in Texas and I am in CA. I only know what my brother-in-law tells me, which is sketchy at best. Bless his heart...he is an eternal optimist. Where can a really learn more about MSA? Thanks.
