Guest guest
Leo, My husband Rob has lost weight rather than gained, but he does continue to exercise. He uses a semi-recumbent stationary exercise bike, which he rides several times a week for up to 5 miles at a time. Exercise IS difficult, but there are things that can be done. Perhaps your doctor could prescribe a course of physical therapy so you could explore safe alternatives with an expert. I don't know about the stomach by-pass, but it seems like you would want to avoid any surgery unless it's absolutely necessary. Guest guest
Hi Leo, If you're still able to get around, how about a recumbent bike? The therapist suggested one to my husband for excerise. It's easier on the back and also lower to the ground. Regards, Donna > Hello, > > Since I was diagnosed in 2000, I have been unable to exercise (used to run > several miles a day). > > Needless to say, my weight has ballooned and I have tried every blasted diet > I can but seem to gain more weight rather than losing.
