Guest guest
Hi All, I will need an implant when all is said and done with the braces and surgery. I figure if my surgery is in December, with any luck I'll get my braces off in May and get the implant " stud " placed soon thereafter. It needs to heal anywhere from 2 to 6 months before the crown is permanently put in, putting my real finish time with all this dental stuff around October 05, give or take a month or two. What I'm wondering is can they place the stud (forgive me, I don't know the proper terminology) during my jaw surgery in December? I can certainly wait if I need to, but boy would it be wonderful to get this finished sooner! Maddie P.S. The implant is for a missing incisor, right up front. That's why it needs to be put in so quickly after the braces come off.
