Guest guest
Meridith, I feel for you as I have two little ones 3 and 4.5. I had upper/lower/chin on Sept 10th and it's a slooooow recovery for me. Can you get some help? I found it difficult to ask but I did arrange some playdates for the kids and friends were really willing to help if I would only ask. My husband works from home when he's not travelling (which is usually quite a bit) and he stayed home for 4 weeks trying to juggle my job (house & kids and me) while working his. It was really tough, lots of stress and we didn't think it would take so long to get back on my feet. I'm a slow recoverer, still lots of swelling and I'm uncomfortable but things will improve and they do daily, lots of baby steps...both forward and back. My advice, get some playdates going, friends to help with the kids, hire a teenager to be a " Mommy's helper " at home with you. Use a whiteboard or paper to draw pictures for the kids to help them understand...PBS on TV and videos to keep them amused until Daddy comes home. My heart goes out to you, it's tough. Write me anytime. Carole Anne > > Please help. I had lower jaw surgery on 10-27, and I'm doing ok > with pain but I can't eat or talk.
