Guest guest
My pcp thinks I have rosacea. I have had 11 years of skin troubles. At age 26, I was first diagnosed as having moderate/severe acne vulgaris. I have tried accutane, antibiotics (major liver troubles there), birth control pills and retinoids. I have been able to control my skin over the last 6 1/2 years using Ortho-tricyclen and retin-A 0.1% a day. But the retin-A gave me a blush. Currently for the last 9 months I have been breaking out in pimples and on top of this I developed flaky, scaling patches of skin on my ear lobes, hairline, chin and cheeks. I always attributed the redness to the retin-A. Anyway, I agreed to lay off it and see if the redness subsides. Has anyone had a similiar situation of being diagnosed with one thing and then some years later another? Can you have both?
