Guest guest
Good morning Another day, another battle. Actually I am feeling pretty good this morning with the responses on the flakes/peels. Guess misery likes company. from what I have been reading through these posts it seems as if there are 2 theories 1. keep oils/moisturizers off the skin 2. moisturize, moisturize, moisturize Now I need to decide which camp I fall into. I know that 2 years ago, I was so distraught one morning after doing the foundation and seeing the awful mess of flakes, that I grabbed a bar of ivory soap and washed my face 3 times in a row. I did not have the flakes but I had one sore face. Very red, shiny, burning. I soothed it for a fw days with Dr.S y's vita-oil and things settled down and the flakes came back. That same winter, I tried using only water and vita-oil thinking that the barrier was damaged. I appplied the vita-oil several times throughout the day with some distilled water. I was not working so I did not feel the need for foundation or sunscreen since I was indoors and by myself for most of the day. But the flakes just got worse. So then, the question is about the vita-oil. I love how good it feels on my face, but I am almost sure that after a few days it does make my face worse in terms of flakes. I noticed that Marjorie is not a big fan of the vita-oil. How do you like the moisturizing body oil. I have a huge bottle of that one? And last, anyone find that emu is any better than plain jojoba which I intend to buy as soon as I get close enough to a store where it is sold. Sorry to be so long winded. I have kissed the Blarney stone and taught for 30 years so I am kinda long winded. Take care
