Charmayne,

You provided a very moving tribute for . My Speedy also escaped this

illness this fall. My husband was born April 20, 1932. So they were about

the same age. Speedy also was able to keep a strong positive attitude about

his illness and his prognosis. I was the one who had a difficult time with

everything that was happening to him.

My thoughts and prayers are with you. I know that this is a very hard

time.

Vera,

The poem you posted for Charmayne brought tears to my eyes. Thank you for

touching me so deeply.

Hugs,

Deborah

I'm your Burden Bear....

I'm not a very fancy bear,

I'm plain and rather small.

Even so someone who likes you

said that I should come to call.

Hide me underneath your pillow,

or set me on a near by shelf,

and when you get dicouraged

I will do my best to help.

I brought my favorite blanket

that I snuggle when I'm sad.

It's a present from my granny,

made for days when things seem bad.

My granny also told me,

" Life is like a patchwork quilt,

Just give Jesus all the pieces

and He'll make a pretty quilt "

Sometimes I don't see the pattern,

Sometimes he seems far away.

Then I clutch my favorite blanket

and I pray...and pray...and pray.

Though I don't have all the answers,

for I'm just a " Burden Bear "

I've been sent here on a mission

From someone who really cares.

When you see me please remember

you are in their thoughts and prayers.

Dear Charmayne:

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and all your

family on the death of your dear . I loved looking at your website and

the pics of and the family. Sometimes it gives me a little lift to go

on when I see others carrying on. God Bless you and it was so nice to hear

how he accepted his physical challenges with such grace. We will say our

evening prayers tonight in his memory - know that he is remembered all the

way across the country here in Massachusetts and probably with this list

around the world.
