Guest guest
Ann, My dad has been seeing somethings off and on. He saw spiderwebs on the ceiling and flowers on the ceiling another time. Today he saw some big glass round shapes. He is not on sinemet. Last week he had cataract surgery. Before this he was legally blind. He can now see to read a bit and is very happy with the results. We did not end up using the VA for the surgery even though they do use the Mayo clinic for the surgery. At the end of the processing they told us that a resident would be performing the surgery. When we got a second opinion we decided we needed an experienced surgeon for this operation! I think his quality of life will improve now. The cataracts were really bad. Guest guest
We are having a lot of (seeing things) Al claims that there are bugs in the carpet, the little dog likes to bring in acorns (we have millions) and chew them. If I don't get them up right away Al says that they have legs and are walking. His depth perception is really off. He can still get around pretty good. I have to go to the bathroom with him, other wise he wet the floor, missed the urinal(he calls it the donald duck). Still has a great sense of humor. He has had this disease (dx in 1995) since about 1998. Ann from Soddy,TN

Guest guest
Ann, We just had some experience with Rob seeing things -- turned out it was too much sinamet. You might discuss this with Al's doctor and see if he thinks it would be a good idea to cut back on the sinamet a little. Guest guest
Speedy's doctors also said that too much sinamet can bring about hallucinations. We only had one problem. He had been ill with stomach virus and apparrently got the medication in his system, but not enough nutrition. Marilyn > > > >

Guest guest
Miraplex can cause hallucinations also, my dad saw little children and swore there were people in the house all the time. The Sinemet was cut back but the rigidity was too much. Then they cut back on the Miraplex and his protein intake. Thing got alittle better, but he was in and out cogitatively. Guest guest
Greetings Ann from Soddy, TX ! > If I don't get them up right away Al says that they have > legs and are walking. It might be due to visual problems. The depth perception may be just part of it. His ability to focus might also be decreased, which makes it appear things at floor distance are moving. Just a thought. Next time he sees an eye doctor (ophthalmologist or neuro-ophthalmologist) you might want to mention the 'bugs crawling'. Regards, =jbf= B.
