Guest guest
Hi everyone. I barely come on here anymore. There is just too much information and I am sticking to one thing right now. I had my fifth KTP laser/Nd: Yag laser combo. Let me start by saying before I went to go see her my nose was blood red. I literally looked like Rudolph. I went into it hopeful especially after seeing her before and afters. I also had cystic acne that I refused to take medication for. I tried topicals, but nothing really worked that well. For the acne component I have learned that my body is backed up and the skin is the first defense to push the stuff out. I have learned to eat more foods with fiber to be able stay regular on a daily basis. This and having a sensible diet has left me for the most part clear and without cystic acne. The redness part of it took alot more patience. I have learned to be patient with this disease since I have had it for about 10 years now. I really felt down going into the fifth treatment. I think I was expecting too much. I would wake up and the underlying redness- the reminder of my past would still be present. It was definitely clearer and more pinkish, but not entirely gone. So needless to say I was feeling a bit down going in to this last procedure. She recommends five to six treatments, but says all cases vary. I decided to skip the numbing gel and have the laser hit me directly. I wanted one last shot. It's been three days since I have had it and I haven't been this clear since I was a teenager. I can't believe it. I finally see my natural skin. Again it took patience. And let me say that this isn't a cure by all means she says she has people come in yearly or every two years for touch ups. This took a major commitment on my part. Not only financially, but with time. I had my first treatment last September. You can space out treatments for every four weeks. I just took longer because of cost. Each treatment costs $350. For those who might be interested her name is Dr. Lee. She is actually the inventor of this KTP laser/Yag combo laser. She is located in No. California. She has a website, but I don't think it is running yet. www.eastbaylaser.com Well this is my story so far. Feel free to email directly if you have any further questions. Good luck everyone. Chris
