Guest guest
hi all but especially the 4 other ladies who are bothered by flaky peeling skin. For 3 days, I slathered my skin with dr. Sy's moisturizing oil , and Complex 15. On the itchy lower right jaw ( which sent me to the derm way back in 1989 and the diagnosis of rosacea ) was even treated to some 100% shea butter. Well yesterday, I was going out so I tried a very little ( smaller than a green pea ) foundation. Flakes, and cakes of it. Last night I washed with the Aveeno Creamy baby cleanser and my face was nothing but a flake. I used a very tiny bit of Complex 15 and went to bed. My face was not burning or irritated. This morning, I was still covered in flakes. Some of them i can actually scruff off since they seem dry and detached where the most of them still seem to be adhered. Now what to I do?? try a bit of a harsher cleanser, or use the Aveeno and try to let the rest of the flakes nudge off. SHould I use a mositurizer like the Nase recommended ones or go with none to see how it goes. Dr. Nase recommends moisturizing rosacea skin. I have a few hours before I will have to decide on anything. Maybe I should just let my skin have a few days off. No water. no washing, no moisturizers and let the natural oils build back up. Wish me luck. Your thoughts are always welcome as are your comments. Regards

Guest guest
I've been using the vita-oil for the past week. I'm not sure yet, but I think it has made a difference. My face isn't as flakey and dry. I'm going to give it another week or so and see what happens. Have you ever tried the vita-oil? I like it so far... Guest guest
Does this sound like sebhorreic dermatitis? There are several medications for it. There is a cream - what the heck is that called. Nizoral? There are also otc meds - Lamisil (it's for the foot but works the same way). I'd ask your doc about seb derm and ask for Nizoral cream. Putting oil on seb derm might make things worse if I remember correctly.. Patty > hi all but especially the 4 other ladies who are bothered by flaky peeling skin. Guest guest
In Australia one can get Nizoral cream from the chemists, without prescription; don't know if it's the same where you are. I find it a bit drying and use it once or twice a week. D I'd ask your doc about seb derm and ask for > Nizoral cream. > > Patty >
