Hi gang: I have tried several things and posted results. I need to

give the skin a break. Can some of you please post your results as

I'm sure some of us will try the " Skin Fix " The info and url are

below:

" ...I did not know this product would help with cea, in fact my

first knowledge of it was when a flood of orders from the UK hit.

It transpired because of positive feedback a cusotmer had given to

a magazine for sufferers of rosacea and Acne called 'face forward'.

it is very difficult to find the balance between

spam, and advising

sufferers of something that has helped so many. I will only post

this once. You are welcome to email me with questions

The product is called SkinFix, found at

http://www.essential-nz.com

Thank You "

Thanks! Patty

I've been using Skin-Fix for approximately three months. One of the

ingredients

is Peppermint, so it will feel really strange the first few

applications. As with

most unknowns, spot test and apply sparingly at first :)

Like an idiot, I wrote off most of my rosacea as sunburn or other

irritation, until

the veins appeared and did not go away. Especially on the nose and forehead,

the veins were accompanied by redness in the surrounding skin. I also have

SD, which constantly caused the moustache and eyelid area to itch and flake.

In some instances, I had large wax-like, reddish-brown patches along the folds

of the nose.

Large patches of red had developed underneath my ear and chin area on both

sides. These were diagnosed as rosacea by one derm, SD by another, and

a combination of the two by a third (ugh).

Metrocream for a few months made some improvement in the overall redness,

but the areas under the ear/chin continued to grow. Nizoral suds and Nizoral

cream made a dent in the SD problem in the T-area, but progress was very slow.

Enter Skin-Fix. I had a bad breakout of SD on the nose and surrounding area.

In less than three days (twice-a-day application), Skin-Fix completely

wiped out

the SD. I put a little on the nose and moustache/eyelid area each night for

'maintenance.' Since May, I have not itched or flaked in these areas for

the first time

in many years. The overall tone of the nose went from notably red to a

pinkish-white.

The Skin-Fix did nothing for veins in the nose area that had already

appeared. I suppose

the only bad news is that these veins are now more noticeable since they

contrast

against the much whiter skin. I also had some veins in the chin area that

were not

responding to metrocream. They have responded to the Skin-Fix, though, which

I find to be very confusing. Five months of metrocream did nothing for

the general

redness/veins in the chin area. A couple weeks of Skin-Fix yielded noticeable

improvement. It seems that with both medications, improvement (if any)

varies in

different areas of the face. No wonder this is such a confusing disease :(

With twice-a-day treatments under the ear/chin area, whatever dermatitis is

present in

that area has both reduced in size and is almost a factor-of-two less red

with Skin-Fix.

If you're in the US, you will probably want to pay the courier cost. I did

have a problem

with the courier on my first order, however, the company kindly refunded my

money.

Overall, I'm very pleased. Because of some of the ingredients, I would not

put it all over

my face. I suspect the product is best for 'spot' or area-treatment, not a

general facial

cover.

Anyway, hope that helps.

good luck to all,

Joined recently. I work 24x7 and read list e-mails mostly at night. The

response rate from this list is pretty frequent, so this is the first

e-mail where I felt I could contribute something of value. I also wanted

to wait until I had several months of experience with this product before

talking about it to anyone else.

I don't think my statements were an endorsement. They were a statement of

my personal results of a few months experimentation with a product. Also

note that I only mentioned the product when specifically asked by someone

else in the group.

I'm a freelance 3D animator. I'm not even remotely connected with this

product or the pharmaceutical industry. I have absolutely nothing to gain

by endorsing or trashing this product. People could buy millions of $$$$

of Skin Fix and I would never see a penny.

My sole motivation is to help people going through the same problems as

myself. If my post helps at least one person, then I've accomplished that

goal. My response indicated that the product performed much better on Seb.

Derm than rosacea veins that had already appeared on the skin. I hope

people also pay attention to the comment about peppermint. If this info.

helps someone avoid an incorrect perception or a product that may not be

suited for their skin, then the information was equally beneficial.

thanks,

I read with interest your post about the Skin-Fix. After reading the active

ingredients, I noticed that one of them was calendula.

This caught my eye as I have recently discovered a mask by " Lather " that

contains oatmeal and calendula. After applying it to my skin for the

recommended 15 minutes, my face is incredibly calmed and pale. No, I'm not

endorsing " Lather, " but suggesting that possibly the calendula may be one of

the anti-inflammatory ingredients. I did a quick search on the net and

learned that it has been used as a natural remedy for seb derm with good

results.

Marji, its benefits aside, I've read that calendula can be a skin

irritant to those with sensitive skin.

this is quoted about calendula extract from the Cosmetic Ingredient

Dictionary part of a Begoun's book :

" Calendula extract - commonly known as marigolds;' it has been shown

to have antibacterial properties, but can be a skin irritant. "

life would be so much easier if everything we read didn't contradict

each other. =P
