Guest guest
Every derm a see has the same routine and the same lousy suggestions. I think that this forum should be required reading for dermatologists in school and in practice. No, not just derms, all MD's. How long are they going to push Cetaphil and metrogel/lotion. I have not seen one positive remark on these, and if there is, it's from someone new to rosacea. If I would have had the information I have now, 5 years ago, things might be better. Now we're all doing overtime. It was so pathetic, the first doctor I saw when I noticed my skin change said, " I don't see any redness. " Then he gave some psychotropic meds, because it must be in my head...right. I wonder how many of you guys went through this wash cycle. Guest guest
I'm not new to rosacea but am new to Metrogel/Rozex. I started rozex 1a week ago and have got good results in reduction of inflammation and redness. I agree with your tirade against dermo's though, at least it matches the ones that I've consulted. Hey my dermo didn't even prescribe Rozex! Quite frankly, if all derms and MD's had to read this forum, then I assume people who suffer from other diseases/disorders would request the same, that their mailing list is a required reading. I mean, that would only seems fair, no? The docs would hardly have any time left to treat patients. I understand your bitterness, but because certain things don't work for you, that doesn't mean they are useless. If you haven't seen any positive remark on Cetaphil, then maybe you haven't been on this forum for long. I started using Cetaphil bar 4 months ago and still use it twice daily and have no complaints whatsoever. It certainly did not or does not cure my rosacea, but that is not what I expect from it. I expect it to clean my face well without any irritation, and that's what it does. Alena
