Occular symptoms and computer monitors

I generally have minimal occular symptoms. However,

everytime I use a computer my eyes burn within 15 to

20 minutes. My opthamologist told me the monitor did

not effect occular rosacea itself. My symptoms were

only a result of not blinking enough when

concentrating on the screen. I intentionally try

blinking more without benefit. Has anyone else had

this problem with monitors and are there any

solutions? I don't believe I flush significantly when

using the computer.

I use a anti-glare filter screen which filters out most of the UV,

and that makes a big difference for me. If I don't, I invariably end

up with red eyes.

I was recently diagnosed with rosacea, but I've had it for about two years.

I have not yet been examined for ocular rosacea, but I experience the exact

same symptoms as you do about 15-20 minutes after sitting at computer.

(burning eyes) Please let me know if you find out anything about why this

happens. Right now I adjust the brightness on my computer to really dim and

that seems to help a little. Good luck & let me know if you hear anything

else useful.

Rosy together..
