Guest guest
I've had tremendous results with Proactive, which does contain benzoyl peroxide and also quite a bit of allatoin, which has also been discussed here recently. I think there is danger in making blanket statements about what is " good " and " not good " for " rosaceans " . I've been with the group for about a year and a half, and I know that everyone isn't describing the same symptoms, despite the fact we've all been diagnosed with the same thing. I had flushing, bumps, itching, and swollen, scaling patches. I did NOT have the fine textured rash or permanent redness that some (but not all) people do. The Proactive -- and I use many of the products: wash, toner, lotion, clay mask, moisturizer w/ sunscreen, night cream, concealer, foundation, and powder, a exfoliating masque, and the " pore strips " -- has been a miracle. I've used it for about two or three months now and my skin looks tremendous! I barely need any makeup at all, and could comfortably leave the house without it. The products were initially drying, and it took my skin about two weeks to adjust. People who've been around the group for a long time know that I'm a staunch proponent of natural healing whenever possible. ly, I was having a weak moment when I ordered the products off of tv. It never dawned on me they would work as well as they do. That said, I also control my diet. I am 100 percent gluten-free for about 18 months now. I definitely breakout when I come into contract with gluten in my diet, or in topical products. I take Allegra daily to mitigate my response when I have accidental contact. The Protopic appears to have made my skin FAR less reactive, and FAR more quick to heal, when I do break out. I'm no longer plagued with the dark red marks that used to follow my breakouts, and the old ones are fading.
