Until about nine months ago, I often experienced dry and blurred vision at

work to such an extent that I couldn't see the screen unless I removed my

glasses and stuck my face about two inches from the glass. Since I spend all

day at the computer working on text and graphics, I was in a full-tilt panic

and even contemplated a career change.

My ocular symptoms have been largely brought under control with punctal

plugs, tetracycline (2,000 mg daily), and twice-daily lid scrubs. The lid

scrubs, especially, seem to have gone a long way toward allowing me to wear

contact lenses again for limited periods (about 60-90 minutes daily, during

jogging and other exercise).

I use OCuSOFT Lid Scrub Pre-Moistened Pads. All I need to do is tear open

one of these packets, unfold the pad, scrub my lids, rinse with warm water,

and then I'm done.

By incorporating lid scrubs into my morning and evening rituals, my ocular

symptoms have diminished considerably. I still have some blepharitis, but

not nearly as bad as before.

I also always have vials of Alcon's Tears Naturale Free on hand, in case I

feel the need to refresh my eyes.
