Guest guest
Just reading over dr. nase's book again... somehow i must have skipped over the part about oral non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications before. specifically mentioned are naproxen and cox-2 inhibitors (youre probably familiar with some..including celebrex-- ithink people take this for arthritis and other chronic pain?). he says cox2 inhibitors are often called " super-aspirins " because of their anti-inflammatory actions. dr. nase states that both may be helpful in reducing chronic facial inflammation and decreasing the intensity of certain forms of flushing. (by the way... cox-2 is an enzyme that produces inflammatory prostaglandins.) i was searchign for some info online and some natural cox-2 inhibitors and here they are: Curcumin, from turmeric root, used in curries and mustards for color and flavor. (note: this tastes really good-- ive been eating lots of turmeric chicken lately.) Resveratrol, found in red wine and the skin of red grapes. Omega-3 fatty acids found in fish like salmon, and fish oils. Retinolic acids, in vitamin A, and green or yellow fruits and vegetables. Carnosol, found in rosemary. maybe this will help some people...cant hurt. plus,it prevents cancer too . more info about cox-2 at this site i found while searching for antiangiogenesis: http://nasw.org/users/milanocarol/recipeforcancer_protection.html
