Improvement WITH exercise

Hi gang: I know many of us cannot exercise without flushing

terribly, but for those who dont - do any of you notice improvement

when you do light to moderate exercise routinely?

I love light to moderate weight bearing exercise. I normally spend

about half hour 4 times a week doing such things as push-ups, sit-

ups, lunges, calf press, and lifting weights heavy enough to tone and

build slightly, but not super heavy. The biggest motivation for me

doing this is that it IMPROVES my rosacea. It's as if by using my

muscles I'm using up some substance in my body that causes my rosacea

to worsen. The more I lift, the more of it is used up; this is how i

imagine it, anyway.

Anyone have this experience?

maybe some people's rosacea improves with exercise because you get

yoru blood flowing to other parts of your body like the extremities

rather than the face.. . since so much of rosacea is " increased blood

flow to the face " (again, quoting dr nase's book!) perhaps if we

exercise our blood will start flowing around to other parts. idont

know about you guys but i have extreeeeemely cold hands and feet,

slight raynauds now. much worse than before i had rosacea.

wish i could do situps but every time i do i look like a

tomato .same with pushups. .so i stick to some light dumbbells and

leg exercises. i also have one of those feet massage roller thingys

that i move my feet across to bring the blood flow down if i'm going

to be sitting down for long periods of time.

I exercise for 1 1/2 hrs 5x a week in the gym and love it. i never

flush while im in there, mainly because of the a/c but i do work hard

and generally look a damn sight better than people who don't have

this problem. i think exercise is so important not only for health

reasons but also to bulid self confidence as this condition can make

a large dent in our self esteem.

I guess in terms of severity my condition would be nominal, so

perhaps this has a bearing on how i fare, but i just wanted to say

how much better i feel after a work out ;0)

-I agree with a lot said in the above posts, excercise is very

important,I excercise in a very cold gym with fans blowing on me,and

I lift heavy weights, 4 times a week.I prefer to do my cardio at

home,I flush more during cardio.excercise is so good for overall

health, and self esteem ,many people without rosacea flush while they

excercise too!!!!!!!!!! so you can kinda blend in.
