Hi everyone-

My little brother (aged 26) has been given a topical ( & a short course of

oral) steroids for " dermatitis " on his nose & forehead. Of course, I

freaked when I learned of the topical stuff, and warned him, as well as

advised him to ask about Elidel (sp?). He says his doctor said nothing

about the risks of the steroid cream (I can't recall the named - it's

Tri-chlema-something something)

So, my question for some of you is this: how long did it take for your

topical steroid use to cause your rosacea symptoms? I'd like to give my

brother some concrete info on this so he can battle the Drs. Oh, he was

also told that he would have to use this cream indefinitely. Yikes!

TIA!

I overused Cutivate, a topical corticosteroid, for 2 courses of 2

weeks each, about 10 days inbetween (supposed to use 2x a day, used

it 5 or 6 times a day- more is better right?<g>).

It did a number on my face big time.

Hi Tom-

Thanks for the info. I'll pass it along to my brother.

I do hope you've recovered some from this mess!
