I was diagnosed for rosacea last year. Its been a real battle and

its one I'm losing, simply b/c I don't have the $$ to purchase the

meds. My parents were able to help me out for a bit but paying close

to $200 for monodox monthly was just too much. And I don't have

insurance either. I've begged my derm to prescribe something w/in my

price range but no luck. I'm in the process of locating another derm

that can work w/ my $$ problems.

What are you all using? Right now I'm on Metrolotion and it seems to

have calmed down the redness in my face but I'm having massive

breakouts around the chin and cheek area. I'm embarrassed to go out

anywhere b/c when people look at me, I know they're thinking, " Good

Lord, what is up w/ that woman's face! I hope I don't catch it! "

Any tips, is greatly appreciated. Pleae email me at

spree_candy@...

Thanks :)

Hi,

this might be a horrible idea.. but is it illegal for people to give

prescription meds/topicals to others (without being paid for it) ? it

seems like people on this board have a zillion meds, half of which we

dont use anymore/never used..and some people might really want to try

meds but not have the means to pay for them. i mean, if we were to

choose to " give " our unusables to someone else is that illegal ? i

mean, couldnt someone's aunt give them a halfused tube of metrogel?

then again i suppose that's different because this is a public forum.

i dont know,it was just an idea, but im 99% sure this is unlawful

behavior. =)

Are you using generic monodox? And, have you compared prices amongst

pharmacies (it can be quite variable)? Here's a link to monodox at

drugstore.com, w/ generic prices to compare:

http://www.drugstore.com/pharmacy/prices/drugprice.asp?ndc=55515025904

Hope that helps a bit!
